People learning and supporting one another

Helping people find their way forward

A new language, a new environment, a fresh start. At Navigo Praha, we help people find their feet in the Czech Republic, build confidence and take their next step in education, work and everyday life.

About Navigo

Here to help you find your way

Navigo Praha is a non-profit organisation founded in 2023. Our team brings together specialists, social workers, teachers and volunteers, united by one belief: no one should have to face a difficult situation alone.

We support people who have come to the Czech Republic and are finding their place in a new environment. Sometimes the first step is learning Czech; sometimes it is a conversation, help with paperwork or support at an appointment with the authorities. We begin by understanding each person’s situation and then work together to find a practical way forward.

Our work is grounded in professional expertise and, for some members of our team, first-hand experience of starting life in a new country. This helps us combine practical guidance with an understanding of how challenging those first steps can be.

Our mission

Helping people build an independent future

We believe confidence begins when people know where to turn and what they can do next. Our mission is to help people feel safe, become more independent and take part in the communities around them.

We do not make decisions for our clients or offer one-size-fits-all answers. We listen, explain the available options clearly and connect people with language learning, social, legal or employment support when needed. Our aim is to help each person handle more of life’s challenges with confidence and independence.

What we do

Practical support for everyday life

Everyone comes to us with a different story and different questions. We bring our services together around what each person needs at the time.

Beginners learning Czech

Czech language and education

Language opens doors to education, work and everyday life. Our courses and learning activities help people communicate with confidence and become more independent. We also help people navigate the education system and seek recognition for qualifications gained abroad.

Social and practical guidance

We help people understand public services and social support in the Czech Republic, work through administrative steps and deal with practical matters. When needed, we accompany clients and connect them with other specialists.

Our story

From first plans to supporting people in two cities

2023 – Getting started

Laying the foundations

Navigo Praha was founded in April 2023. Our first year was spent developing programmes, building partnerships and securing funding. We could not launch everything straight away, but our team and volunteers laid the groundwork for what came next.

2024 – Expanding our support

Turning plans into practical help

We launched language courses and expanded our outreach, social and legal support. We helped people navigate administrative processes, look for work and seek recognition for education gained abroad.

2025 – Growing our reach

Making support more accessible

We completed a major Czech language education project for people displaced from Ukraine under temporary protection, strengthened our specialist team and opened a branch in Brno. We also continued to develop our guidance and integration support.
